Bylakuppe: The Middle Way Approach Desk of Department of Information and International Relations organized a three-day workshop for Settlement officers of Southern Tibetan settlements from 18-20 November 2019. The Middle Way Approach workshop was attended by the Chief Representative Officer, South Zone and Settlement officers of five southern Tibetan settlements along with two participants from each settlement.

Former Director of Tibet Policy Institute, Mr Thubten Samphel leads a session on Middle Way Approach at the training for Settlement Officers of Southern Tibetan Settlements on MWA.

The workshop was aimed at imparting the ways to impart proper training to others in the settlement in order to create awareness amongst the masses. The training included interactive discussions and activities to the trainees.

Thubten Samphel, former director of the Tibet Policy Institute (TPI) gave a talk on the Middle Way Approach and its origin and evolution.

The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Jaya Iyer (professional trainer) and Mr. Hitesh along with DIIR staff Mr Norbu Wangdu, Ms Tsering Choklay and Ms Khando Dolma.
